Oman’s national youth football team held its first training session on Monday evening at the sub-field of the main Dushanbe Stadium in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe, in preparation for the Asian qualifiers for the 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup in China.
The first day’s training included light warm-ups and a recovery session for the players after their late arrival – at dawn today – to the official residence at the “Rumi” Hotel in Dushanbe.
Ahmed bin Abdul Qadir Al-Hadad, a member of the Board of Directors of the Oman Football Association, is heading the delegation of the national youth team, which will participate in the Asian qualifiers from September 21st to 29th. The young Reds will play in Group E, which includes Tajikistan (the host country), Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and North Korea.
The national team’s technical staff, led by Captain Ahmed Al-Alawi, has selected 23 players:
Majid Ramadan Al Farsi, Masoud Saif Al Bahri, Saeed Sulaiman Al Alawi, Jawad Khalifa Al Azizi, Faisal Juma Al Hadidi, Adi Khalifa Al Manouri, Fahd Khamis Al Mukhaini, Abdullah Saif Al Maamari, Ghassan Musa Al Masrouri, Abdulaziz Juma Al Shaqsi, Bashar Talib Al Maharbi, Adnan Khamis Al Mushaifri, Mu’min Musabih Al Suli, Shihab Ahmed Al Mukhaini, Yasser Saeed Al Balushi, Ziyad Jamal Al Ja’lani, Yusuf Ali Al Shibibi, Abdullah Mubarak Al Jabri, Rashad Abdul Hamid Al Dhain, Saeed Ghasib Al Ghanbusi, Muhannad Mubarak Al Saadi, Abdul Hadi Hafidh Al Manouri, and Mohammed Ghanem Al-Sameen.
