OFA Signs Cooperation Agreement with Musandam Governor’s Office

The Oman Football Association (OFA) and the Office of the Governor of Musandam signed a cooperation and partnership agreement today, Thursday, September 19th, for the Musandam Winter Season 2024/2025. This event holds exceptional importance in various fields, including tourism, sports, culture, economy, society, and entertainment. The signing ceremony took place at the W Hotel in Muscat.

His Excellency Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, signed the agreement on behalf of the Governor’s Office, while Salem bin Saeed bin Salem Al Wahaibi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the OFA, signed on behalf of the Association.

This agreement aims to achieve strategic goals that contribute to promoting numerous benefits, in addition to developing sports activities in the region. This will positively impact the development of the governorate, aligning with the sustainable growth vision outlined in Oman Vision 2040.

Salem bin Saeed bin Salem Al Wahaibi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the OFA, emphasized the significance of the cooperation agreement with the Musandam Governor’s Office, indicating that this partnership is part of the ongoing joint efforts to develop football and sports activities in the governorate.

Al Wahaibi stated that this agreement represents a vital step towards activating sports activities and hosting major events in Musandam. It will also help overcome logistical and geographical challenges faced by sports clubs in the governorate. He further explained that the OFA is an integral part of the partnership system with various institutions in the country to achieve the integrated goals of the sustainable growth vision.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors clarified that through this agreement with the Musandam Governor’s Office, the OFA will contribute to enhancing and developing the activities and events of the Musandam Winter Season 2024/2025. This season is considered a seasonal destination for visitors from all over the world to explore the beauty of nature in the region.
